These kits are specifically designed to repair the Nippon Denso starter motor with an intergrated solenoid body which has removable plungers and contacts. The solenoid repair kit consists of 1 x plunger complete and 2 x replacement copper contacts, also in the kit is a full set of fitting instructions which is both pictorial and written.

If you have the type of starter with the separate solenoid we can still help. You would need to replace the complete solenoid assembly which is actually very easy and only take minutes. Again there are big savings to be made over the price of replacing the complete starter.

Both types of starter can be identified by a small silver foil sticker on the body of the starter. There will be 2 sets of numbers printed on the sticker, one is the manufactures code and the other is the Nippon Denso O/E code. It is the O/E code you need to make a perfect identification. The number will start 028000 or 128000 or 228000 or 428000 followed by a further 4 numbers.

A full complete number should read 228000-4830. (SEE PHOTO BELOW)

If you can't find the sticker on your starter or you're just having difficulty reading it you can remove the solenoid cover and pull out the plunger to view the contacts. Compare them to the picture below showing the contacts and plunger we currently have in stock. Once you've identified the parts you require use the contact form to let me know which numbers you require.

For your information No8 has a 35mm pin extending from underneath the plunger body and No11 has a 40mm pin.
